This non-therapeutic Ramucirumab biosimilar (ideal for research, same variable regions as therapeutic Ramucirumab) reacts with human VEGFR-2 (CD309/KDR/Flk-1, tyrosine protein kinase family). VEGFR-2 binds VEGF to regulate vascular development/permeability, highly expressed on endothelial cells in adult heart/lung/kidney/brain/skeletal muscle. It binds VEGFR-2’s extracellular domain, blocks VEGF-A/C/D, inhibiting VEGF-mediated tumor angiogenesis.
